In 2017, Jamie Harmon became a full-time Communication Studies instructor at Ventura College. Before she was hired, she was a lecturer at California State University, Long Beach (her alma mater). She was also an adjunct instructor at Golden West College, Orange Coast College, and Long Beach City College. Professor Harmon embraces a collaborative learning style so Professor Harmon's students likely describe her classes as "interactive." She's constantly looking for new, innovative ways to teach, both in person AND online. She wants her students to enjoy learning and to be intellectually challenged. In her classes, students can expect to work together in groups often and for lectures to be more "dialogues" than monologues.
